DUSKY IN PINK LADIES TOP
This is an easy sleeveless top with a plain
upper yoke part and a lovely light lacy shelled lower half. It is a pretty easy pattern repeat and I’d
say it can be attempted by almost anyone.. so come along and let’s see how we
make this lovely creation.

Materials used : Today I’ve used ~ 1 skein of our superb Indian Oswal Cashmilon 3-ply variegated yarn with a 3.5 mm crochet hook
For Indians : You could use Anchor or Red rose knitting cotton yarns are a good substitute. I’d also suggest Alize cotton yarn
For Non-Indians : This pattern will work with Milford Satin knitting cotton, DMC Petra knitting cotton & Aunt Lydia Bamboo Viscose 10 knitting cottons as well. The designer has given her selection too.
Size : 32” – 34”

Double Crochet : dc : yo, insert hk into st ; yo (3 lps on hk);

Abbreviations used :
lp(s) : Loop(s) sc : Single crochet
dc : Double crochet sp : Space
sl-st : Slip stitch ch : Chain

Please note that I start all my rows with a ch 1, turning chain for ease.

Please read through all my notes before you pick up your hook, so you know just where we're heading in our pattern.
In my patterns I work with the principle of stitch count and body measurement. This means that you need to work the stitch count in pattern, till you get the measurement (length and/or width) that you need for your project.

These are just my brief notes.
This lovely creation can be made in several
sizes and I think you can use any yarn with a suitable hook for it too. The yarn I have used is not one that has been
suggested by the designer, and it worked pretty well. What I did do was work a quick swatch though
– and I would suggest that, only so that you can keep tabs of which size you
need to follow using your yarn.
The pattern is given for Chest size (S) 36” ;
(M) 40” ; (L) 44” ; (XL) 48”
This is a bottom up construction.
I used a thinner yarn, so had to do some math of
my own – anyway the S-size I am working on is a 34”.
I tried to get the stitch count for the pattern,
and for Row 1, started with multiples of 4 + 1 (which worked for me) for
the chest size of the person I am making this for.
May I suggest that you check the round chest
and round waist measure and use the larger of the two measures.
As this is a top with a cord that goes across
the chest, and then an A-lined finish, I worked with a slightly larger round
chest measure.
