SIMPLE XMAS INSPIRED HEADWEAR
After my first set of headwear and the huge
response , I thought I’d whip up a few more cute little thingies for
headwear.
Come along now and let’s whip out yet some more
cute, and simple headwear.

Materials used : Today I’ve used some Indian Anchor knitting cotton yarn with a 2.5
mm crochet hook ; hair barrette ; headband or rubber band ; or tic-tac clip ; fabric glue ; embroidery needle
For Indians : You could use Red rose ; Red rose metallic or unbranded knitting cotton as well
General yarn info : The yarn used today is not specific to this pattern.
You can use any yarn with a suitable hook to make this project to any size.
International yarns : Among the international yarns I have used in this thickness, I’d suggest Aunt Lydia Cotton 10, Aunt Lydia Bamboo-Viscose 10, DMC Petra, Sullivans knitting cotton (Australia), Milford Soft, Hilaza Rustica Eclat , Alize cotton yarn and Alize bamboo yarn.

Please note that I start all my rows with a ch 1, turning chain for ease.

Please read through all my notes before you pick up your hook, so you know just where we're heading in our pattern.
For most of these patterns, you can use it as a
hanging toy ornament off your tree. All you need to do is attach a length of
chain off one side. If you attach it, with an embroidery needle, to
a rubber band or a tic-tac clip, then you get a neat hair clip. You could similarly attach it to a hair barette/comb or a headband as well. Ensure that you neatly glue your ends in with fabric glue. Have fun.

HOLLY & BERRIES HAIR
CLIP

Go to the link for the pattern. Once you have finished making the holly
and berries, just attach it neatly to a tic tac hair clip, using an embroidery needle and thread.
If you want to hang it off your tree, attach a long chain (say 30 - 40 chain length) to one of the corner holly leaves and this will swing off your tree.

SANTA HAIR CLIP
For this pattern, visit http://design-peak.com/crochet-santa-applique/, and this was the photograph that lead to the link above. There is a neat tutorial on this link. The tutorial is to make an applique that she attaches onto a shoe.
All I did was make the little motif and then attach it to a tic tac clip using an embroidery needle. You can attach this to a safety pin and use it on your lapel, or you can attach it onto a rubber band as well. I decided to use a black shiny bead for my Santa eyes, but a rounded shut eye gives Santa the Ho Ho HO look too.
One little motif.. so many ideas. Have fun.
